1. Language
    Presentations can be made in either English or French.
  2. Papers for the Conference – Deadline: one week before the conference.
    • Papers should be SINGLE SPACED, not exceeding the word count of 12,000 and should not have been previously published.
    • Complete your paper and email it  to the relevant section head and the other participants in the session one week before the conference.
    • Failure to comply with the above mentioned deadline can result in the chairperson excluding the presentation from the session.
    • Further, the discussant will be under no obligation to comment on the paper if s/he is not given a reasonable amount of time to read it. Such an action would be a loss to all attending the session.
  3. Chairpersons – Discussants
    Presenters will be considered as possible chairpersons or discussants. Given that a successful conference depends on having, not only paper-givers, but chairs and discussants, the CPSA strongly encourages participants to pro-actively offer their services as a chairperson or a discussant to section chairs and/or be willing if a request is made.
  4. CPSA Membership Fees
    • For accepted presentations by single authors or multiple authors, each author must be a member in good standing of the CPSA by March 31, 2022 whether s/he is attending the conference or not, or see their name removed from the programme.

    • The CPSA Secretariat will contact non-members regarding their membership status prior to the above deadline.
    • Chairpersons, discussants and roundtable participants are not required to be members but are warmly invited to join.

  5. CPSA Conference Fees

    To facilitate as much as possible your participation in the 2022 virtual conference, we decided:

    • to maintain the reduced fees that were introduced in 2021. In addition to keeping the same fees of the 2021 conference, note that registration fees for student members are reduced and subsidized by the donations and the CPSA funds usually allocated to grants covering student travel;
    • that these are the only registration fees you will pay for your participation in the 2022 virtual conference. With the goal of making the virtual conference affordable for our members and after a thorough consideration of the options and costs associated with hosting a quality virtual meeting, we decided to organize our conference outside Congress in 2022.

  6. Code of Conduct for the 2022 CPSA Virtual Conference, In-person Gatherings Organized by the 2022 Programme Committee and the 2022 AGM
    The CPSA is committed to providing an inclusive, safe, welcoming and abuse-free (harassment, discrimination and bullying) environment at its 2022 conference and Annual General Meeting. To that end, the CPSA requires that all participants to its virtual conference be aware of, adhere to, and comply with the Code of Conduct.
