2026 CPSA – Conference’s Format
The 2026 CPSA Annual Conference will be held in person from Tuesday, June 2 to Thursday, June 4 at the University of Ottawa.
All conference participants, paper-givers, poster and three minute thesis contestants must be prepared to attend the events and to make their presentations in person. The 2026 CPSA Conference at the University of Ottawa will not be held in conjunction with the Congress of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. This follows the Federation’s announcement that Congress 2026 will not proceed due to challenges in securing a host institution. Read more HERE.
Presenters will be considered as possible chairs or discussants. Given that a successful conference depends on having, not only paper-givers, but chairs and discussants, the CPSA strongly encourages participants to proactively offer their services in either/both of these roles to any of our 22 section heads and/or be willing if a request is made.
If you check the box “I am willing to serve as chair or discussant,” you will be appointed in either or both of these roles in a panel of your preferred section.
