This workshop will focus on designing effective and engaging syllabi for undergraduate and graduate teaching. It will cover a range of different pedagogies and how they are suited to the specific learning objectives at different stages of undergraduate and graduate degree programmes (panelists will share their experiences with diverse teaching materials and different approaches including problem/inquiry based learning modules, reading focused seminars, and independent study, amongst others). The session is designed as an opportunity for instructors to share their experiences of what works and when (and when it does not) in the classroom.
