R05 - Roundtable: That Little Land Theft Matter: Reconciliation and Title

Date: Jun 4 | Time: 01:30pm to 03:00pm | Location: CIRS 1250

Chair/Président/Présidente : Joyce Green (University of Regina)

Participants will take up the tensions between the imperative of reconciliation between the settler state and Indigenous peoples, and the facts of Canada’s occupation of Indigenous territories, appropriation of Indigenous lands, resources, sovereignty and self-determination. The conversation will shed light on whether reconciliation is possible in the conditions of continuing oppression and appropriation of territory.
